Description of Services: An effective software tool for identifying and teaching environmental remediation alternatives. ReOpt™ provides an extensive suite of remediation technologies, and the ability to quickly identify potential appropriate remediation technologies applicable to your site conditions. It presents a broad selection of technologies, as well as detailed diagrams and abstracts describing how they work, additional data that must be collected, updated federal regulatory information and more.

ReOpt functions as an electronic encyclopedia that quickly sorts through remedial options to speed the decision-making process. The software includes newly revised descriptions of 107 remedial action technologies; physical parameters for each of 409 unique contaminants, cross-referenced to approximately 1500 synonyms; technology selection based on site characteristics and cleanup strategy; bibliographic references, and schematic diagrams for remediation technologies/processes.

Data: For each technology, ReOpt contains information for the following categories:
  • Flow diagram
  • Description
  • Engineering or design parameters.
  • Contaminant applicability.
  • Data Requirements.
  • Associated technologies.
  • Technical constraints for site, medium, and contaminant.
  • Regulatory Constraints for site, medium, and contaminant.
  • References.
  • Previous/Applications.

ReOpt allows users to search by media, contaminant, and the way the functional manner in which the user wants to restore the site (such as, in situ treatment) to focus the analysis of those technologies potentially applicable to the scenario.

Hardware/Software:
  • Saves Time -- Quickly develops a short list of cleanup technologies.
  • Expands Scope -- Addresses more contaminants and situations than any other single source.
  • Built by Experts -- Works with technologies proven to be effective.
  • Saves Money -- Prevents false starts, reduces data collection time.
  • Up-to-date -- Annual updates reflect regulatory/technological changes.
